| Description: |
Construction of a regional potable water treatment facility in the MD of Opportunity No.17 (MD) is currently pending approval for construction. The proposed regional water treatment plant (WTP) will utilize a microfiltration membrane water treatment system. The purpose of this request for proposals is to determine the most suitable treatment equipment and equipment supplier for this application. At such time, as the project proceeds to the construction stage, equipment would be purchased by the general contractor which is contracted by the MD through a competitive tendering process. The proposed water treatment system will include installation of a microfiltration membrane system downstream of a new ion exchange organics removal system followed by a conventional water treatment process (flocculation, sedimentation) that is expected to be utilized as pre-treatment in advance of the proposed microfiltration membrane. The ion exchange organics removal system and conventional water treatment system are not part of this treatment system pre-selection. The scope of this pre-selection is comprised of the water treatment membrane process package as provided in the Terms of Reference document. Documents may be accessed through the Bids and Tenders online platform or by emailing at the following email address: edmonton@mpe.ca |
