The project includes the construction of a potable water reservoir and pump station which will tie into the distribution system and supply the Hamlet of Suffield with potable water.  Potable water is supplied from the water treatment plant in Ralston and conveyed via pipeline to the location of the new facility.  Refer to Figures 1 and 2.

Major work items of this contract will include the following:

1. Site grading including 2,600 m³ of common excavation
2. Cast-in-place 1,500 m³ capacity concrete treated water reservoir
3. 1,000 sq. ft. Wood frame and block building
4. Asphalt paving of site parking lot and adjacent street
5. Distribution pumping system (3 pumps)
6. Processing piping
7. Instrumentation including metering, disinfection and analyzer systems
8. Building mechanical systems
9. FRP lift station and forcemain
10. Tie-ins to potable water supply and distribution lines and water main installation
11. Natural gas backup generator
12. Electrical and controls

The intent of this pre-qualification process is to allow Cypress County to rate, rank, and select eligible Contractors that will bid the necessary services to facilitate the Installation of Contractor supplied material based on the above noted work items. 

Through this request for applications, Cypress County seeks to ensure that companies that bid on the above contracts have the experience, skill, ability, resources (men and equipment), bonding, integrity and safety record needed to perform the work as described in this package.
