| Description: |
Expansion of the existing Bonanza potable water treatment facility, located in Saddle Hills County, is currently pending grant approval for construction. The proposed expansion will utilize conventional water treatment. The purpose of this request for proposals is to determine the most suitable treatment equipment and equipment supplier for this application. At such time as the project proceeds to the construction stage, equipment would be purchased by the general contractor which is contracted by Saddle Hills County through a competitive tendering process. The proposed treatment system is to consist of a pre-built conventional water treatment process that utilizes enhanced coagulation and gravity filtration. The proposed treatment system will include a powdered activated carbon dosing system, as well as an ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system downstream of the conventional treatment unit. The carbon system and UV system are not a part of this treatment system selection. The scope of this pre-selection is comprised of the conventional water treatment process as provided in the Terms of Reference document.
