Description: |
The Summer Village of Ma-Me-O Beach has a shallow bury low pressure sanitary sewer collection system that is protected from freezing by a thermocable system. The Urecon thermocable system has failed and requires replacement. The thermocable is located in a raceway on top of the pipe under an insulated pipe jacket. The existing collection system is a pre-insulated Urecon system with HDPE pipe ranging in diameter from 75mm to 150mm. The insulation kits at pipe joints, services tees, valves, and mainline tees are to be removed and replaced during this work.
Major work items for this contract will include the following (approximation):
Replacement of Thermocable 4300 m Replacement of Service Tee Insulation Kits 297 ea. Replacement of Mainline Tee insulation Kits 6 ea. Replacement of Valve Insulation Kits 12 ea. Replacement of Pipe Insulation Kits 217 ea. Re-establish Thermocable raceway conduit through insulation kits 532 ea. Miscellaneous Control Panel Upgrades 11 ea.
The intent of this qualification process is to allow the Owner to rate and select eligible Contractors that will bid the necessary services to facilitate the construction of the above noted project. |
