Work involves the installation of a new bridge culvert to replace BF#78070 located 30 km south of Medicine Hat on the Black and White Trail (SE12-09-06-W4), with a new 2.4m dia. Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) culvert.

Work also involves the installation of a new bridge culvert to replace BF#75142 located 25 km south of Medicine Hat on the Black and White Trail (NW25-09-06-W4), with a new 2.4m dia. Corrugated Steel Pipe (CSP) culvert.

The scope of work for both project areas includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

  • Traffic accommodation
  • Site isolation and care of water (if required), including Fish Capture and TSS testing
  • Removal and disposal of the existing bridge file culvert
  • Excavation
  • Supply and Assembly of the new bridge file culvert
  • Backfill including common (and potentially borrow) and granular backfill material
  • Heavy rock riprap erosion protection including geotextile filter fabric
  • Roadway work, including Granular Base Course and Gravel Surfacing
  • Permanent environmental protection devices
