Alberta Central East Water Corporation (ACE) wishes to obtain proposals from qualified Proponents for the construction of a water transmission line between the Village of Marwayne (Marwayne) and Hamlets of Dewberry and Clandonald as part of Phase 7 of ACE’s regional water supply system.

Major work items for this contract will include the following (approximation):

  1. Contract 18 involves the supply and installation of 20.4 km of 150 mm HDPE DR11 pipe via horizontal directional drilling (HDD) between Marwayne and Dewberry;
  2. Contract 19 involves the supply and installation of 15.3 km of 100 mm HDPE DR11 pipe via HDD between Dewberry and Clandonald;  
  3. Excavation, Backfill, Reclamation, and Seeding of HDD entrance and exit pits;
  4. Installation of air release valves, flushing hydrants, isolation valves, and cathodic protection;
  5. Installation of private service connections if requested;
  6. Pig launching and receiving stations;
  7. Highway and utility crossings; and 
  8. Contract 18 involves the tie-In to existing ACE water main outside of Marwayne.
